Read something interesting today in which a songwriter stated: “I would rather hear a crappy song about a good idea than listen to a good band play good music about nothing.” I’m paraphrasing by the way. It made me think about the music I listen to vs. the songs I write. I would like to hear what you might think about such a statement and what you look for to satisfy your musical appetites.
